This winter remember the critters! It's Thursday Tips For PreMeditated Acts of Kindness - part of my 2008 Gratitude & Giving Back Resolution, and today my focus is kindness toward animals. I live
on the East Coast where the climate is temperate compared with the cities in the Midwest where I grew up and lived my young adulthood. Talking with family out West recently, it's been a particularly cold, snowy winter. With that in mind, perhaps one of the biggest acts of PreMeditated Kindness we can perform this winter is to remember to fill our bird feeders, add water to our bird baths - and if the squirrels, chipmunks and other small critters look hungry, toss them them some seed too (my squirrels love sunflower seeds, and actually do quite well all year round thanks to nut trees in my yard and woods).
