Today is my 50th Birthday! Happy Birthday To Me! It's a landmark birthday, and in honor of my first half century I'm showing gratitude for all that I have and all that I am by 'giving back' in 2008 and the 
environment is one of my recipients. My 'gratitude theme' is my New Year Resolution, my birthday wish, and a Lifetime Resolution - one that's going to be with me for good!
My message - as part of Monday Tip Day for ways to preserve the environment - is for anyone who has a dream of any shape or size: You don't have to wait for New Year 2009 to make your dream a reality. If you're serious, why not make each and every day New Year's Day, a new page on which you can write your life story? If you need a catalyst - a special day to launch your dream - there are plenty of options. How about using your birthday as a launching pad? I'm using mine, today, to bolster my resolve to 'give back' in 2008.
Or if, for instance, you want to make the environment a priority in your life - why not use Earth Day 2008 (tomorrow, April 22) as a catalyst and source of inspiration? Or, you could use Arbor Day as inspiration to plant a carbon-absorbing tree in your yard - Friday, April 25 is Arbor Day. Or use July 4th as your own personal Independence Day. There are so many possibilities. And if you're really brave and motivated, pick any ordinary day - today, tomorrow, the next day . . . to get moving on your dream, resolution and daily goals.
Stop procrastinating. Give the boot to the 'Someday, Someday, Someday Syndrome' right now. Make today the day that you 'decide' to 'go for it'. Then do it. If you need a bit of incentive, surf over to the I Resolve To . . . Toolkit, and read through my 'System' and 'Tips'. Give it a go today!
