One of the best parts of holiday meals is the leftovers. It's no secret that cooking is not among my passions, but I did proudly make a small turkey this year along with favorite fixings, and a few new dishes. One of my fall resolutions is to experiment with squash. I baked acorn squash on Thanksgiving (delicious) and I have several other varieties of squash sitting on my counter, soon to be transformed into tasty dishes. Getting out of my 'cooking comfort zone' is another resolution. While I don't spend a lot of time in the kitchen, I do try to 'spend quality time' in the kitchen when I do cook. In addition to experimenting with squash, papaya and new veggie recipes, I think I'll try my hand at Christmas cookies in December. Sounds like fun!
