I like to think of every day as New Year's Day - a new blank page on which I can write my life story. Equally important, each new day offers a new opportunity to take small, concrete steps, AKA 'Daily Resolves', toward my dreams. Those steps add up to big results over the long haul. The change of seasons, holidays, birthdays, and other calendar milestones like 'Back To School' are wonderful signposts that mark my journey toward eventual success via those small daily steps. The start of the school year is a fabulous opportunity to turn up the volume on Daily Resolves - a new opportunity nudge priorities front and center and make good on them.
Personally, I am looking forward to colorful Fall leaves, crisp temperatures - and 'yes', I have invested in a bushel full of new notebooks and pens that I will fill, page-by-page, in coming months. I believe in building and revising plans and time lines, and I am dedicated to recording my victories and brainstorming around obstacles - on paper each and every day. I love to journal and make lists. Turning 'To Do's' into 'Ta Da's' in writing is both fun and rewarding - checking off To Do's ranks up there with posting foil stars on my calendar every time I exercise (habit that I created years ago that helps me track my work outs). Writing things down keeps me accountable. The start of the new school year is simply a new and wonderful juncture in this journey that fills me with enthusiasm and motivation.
I intend to 'Make Back To School Resolutions', as part of my Second Annual I Resolve To . . . Challenge: 365 Resolutions For Health & Happiness. Why not join me? The objective is very simple: Do at least one thing each and every day to promote health and happiness for 'YOU'. Banish the 'Someday, Someday, Someday Syndrome'. Instead, make every day New Year's Day. Make every day count with 'daily resolves'. The list of possibilities is infinite and can be tailored to your own dreams, resolutions and daily goals. If you need some help - a little nudge, a bit of inspiration, tips, advice, and news about the best ways to make resolutions a reality - please use IResolveTo.Com as one of your resources.
