A month from now, at the stroke of midnight, we ring in a New Year. I have to admit, I welcome the birth of a new year with open arms because it provides an opportunity to pause for introspection - to reflect on where I have been and where I want to go - and it presents a symbolic reset button: 365 new blank pages on which I will continue to write my life story.
I take my New Year Resolutions seriously. I plan for them, write them down, monitor them, nurture them, and carry them everywhere I go, day in and day out. So it comes as no surprise on this rainy Sunday in late November that I begin to unplug, seek quiet mind, and daydream about the year to come. I hope you will join me. Don't wait for the clock to strike midnight on December 31 to start dreaming and planning. Above all, don't hastily write down a long list of things you think you 'should' do because they sound good. Don't follow the pack. Instead, pursue a dream, something that you truly 'want' to achieve - something that scares the daylights out of you, excites you and fills you with great anticipation each day. Do what you love. Love what you do . . . daily. Desire and commitment are key to resolution success.
To get you started . . . have a look this video compilation of things that I love do do - AKA my Daily Resolves (photo resolutions). Daily Resolves are nothing more than simple things that I do to inject a bit of happiness and healthy habits in bite-sized chunks into my daily routine. They are also great tools that can help you get in shape for taking small daily steps toward a larger dream. Success breeds success and builds momentum. So . . . take a peek at my short video. They say a picture is worth a thousand words . . . and it really is.
